While leveling this character up from BC days, I started reading this WoW Insider article on the history of feral weapons:

I think they make a good point about where the design has gone for druids. We're now relegated to: Four 346 polearms, and a single staff, and the epic quality staff. None of which, as described in the article, really look very druidish or feral...at all. Take a good look at all the weapons picture, and look at the different between the great diversity in Wrath.
I hope that as Cataclysm progresses, especially with the Guardians of Hyjal being involved in combating the Firelord, that we see the weapon design trending towards what it was, as I think it contributed much more to the character than sharing hunter themed polearms and evil staves.
