[:1]So, I arena with an Unholy DK, pushing for atleast 2k rating if not higher, but we seem to be stuck in the 1775-1850 range. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I can't manage to get my heals off in time, nor do I manage to keep my partner up against 2 DPS teams, which shouldn't be hard.
Anything with a warlock, I manage to die on from the constant fears and being unable to heal through the dots - and of course, I can't dispel them due to UA.
Mage/Priest, Mage/Shadowpriest, Warrior/Hunter, Warrior/anything.
Sometimes I can manage to kite a warrior farely well, but there are times where they are just completely unkiteable and I get rofled.
I guess what I'm asking is, are there any tips that you could give me so that I can get better? Am I doing something wrong if we're dying to these comps?
biggest thing I can say is that using a CC is worth more than trying to heal. IE: a cyclone will prevent more damage than you can heal in the same amount of time.
Well - faced two mage/priest teams. Got mana burned dry before I could even think twice as I was trying to dispel all the forst novas I could. Being frozen and then mana burned, ice tombed, mana burned, feared, mana burned, polymorph, mana burned. :/
I totally feel your growing pains. I am slowly moving from BGs to Arena and have pretty much my ass handed to me alot!
The number one thing I am learning is to pretty much stay the F out of the way. Half the time you dont even need to be healing, strange huh?
I am usually opening up with a Cyclone and keep that target cycloned as long as I can. I run around in bear/travel ALOT.
If I do everything right (Stay away/hide) I can usually expect my team to win.
It is also cool you have a dedicated partner b/c coordination will only get better so just take your lumps and learn =)
I appreciate all the tips. Arenajunkies have been undergoing maintenance it seems, so. I've not much luck on finding the right strat for certain comps. We managed to get to 1848, YAY, lol. I'm beginning to finally learn how to LOS.
However, here's a comp that was super hard, and I did everything I could as did my partner, and we were in arena for 30 minutes:
Feral Druid / Holy Paladin.
Between the instant cyclones / Hoj's / and the damage output from the Feral Druid, it was amazing how the kiting was - he would manage to get out of my roots constantly, and the paladin was humping every pillar and and I could not get a single cyclone on him at all.
Any tips for this type of comp? I did really well against mage/priests and even a warlock/druid! I appreciate you guys reading this!!

Mix in Hibernate and fake casts. Restos can be a nightmare for a feral.
